December 27, 2007 I've added a new gameplay video to the movies page. Some of you long time players might remember helping me record the city battle. I think everyone will really enjoy this movie. The best one to date I think.

December 26, 2007 Wow, what a productive day. You can thank my job for the unexpected, extended, holiday time off. Because of that, and a lot of coffee, Tutorial 102 is uploaded to BSanc. I was able to throw together the remaining clips into the second video of the series. Think of it as a belated holiday gift. Now I can spend the new year playing Ballerium and recording footage for future tutorials.

December 25, 2007 Happy Holidays everyone. I have one last Christmas gift for all the new Ballerians out there. I hastily put the finishing touches on my first tutorial video. It's available on the movies page. I'm new to sound editing, so the voice acting is a little bit, shall we say, awkward. I haven't found a sound editing program to use yet. Once I find a program I like and learn how to use it, future tutorials should get better and better. At least I'm better at getting the filesize down to a manageable level now.

I have some video footage left over. If I can stay motivated, and squeeze it in before the new round begins, I might have another beginner tutorial around the New Year. Hopefully before, or just after, the next round starts.

November 23, 2007 The new Ballerium website is up and it's a huge improvement over the old one. If you haven't already, get over there and register an account. I've updated the download links to point to the Ballerium download page. Unless there ends up being a need, I won't host the download on BSanc anymore. The new site should be able to handle all the demand. The new version, 1.00.93, went up a couple of days ago. After a rocky start, the server appears to be stable and players are beginning to build their empires. Get in the game and start yours!

November 10, 2007 I've updated the screenshots page so that the previews load quicker. I think I've gotten all the minor tweeks and updates I wanted finished finally. I think I'll take a break from all these little fixes and start adding in some new content. I'm not sure what that content will be, but I'll try to make it fun and exciting.

November 8, 2007 I've begun work on a FAQ page, it only has a few questions on it currently. I decided to upload it as a work in progress so that it could start helping players as soon as possible. And also, to maybe get some input from the community as to what questions to include in it. Post a reply to this thread if you think of a good question.

November 6, 2007 I've updated the Map page to show the correct, current cities. Many versions ago, 31 cities were removed from Ballerium, they now are no longer shown on BSanc's map. I've also renamed Shesho to Eshod and relocated that city. If you see any other cities that have moved or are renamed, please let me know.

November 5, 2007 The weapons of Ballerium have been added to the Units page. We have pictures, brief descriptions and all the stats available, even the attack speed of each weapon, for easy browsing.

November 2, 2007 I've updated the Guide page some more. Added some graphics of the city buildings and put up a first draft of their descriptions. I hope this additional information will help new players get into the game quickly.

October 28, 2007 As you can tell, I've placed a looping flash intro to the Movies on this page a couple days ago. I hope it works well for everyone and doesn't take too long to download. I've also begun work filling in the missing information for the pages that are already up. Such as some city building descriptions on the Guide page. I've got the interactive building descriptions up, just need to put together some graphics for them. Once I finish those, I'll do the same to the remaining buildings.

October 23, 2007 I've updated the Movies page. The Flash versions of current and future movies will now be found on that page. I'll be taking them off the homepage shortly, as soon as I create a nice sample movie to loop on this page. I've also included some download links so everyone can keep and share a copy with their friends. Where possible, I've included choices as to the size of the movie you can choose to download. Just in case some of you have slower connections and don't wish to be downloading 100+ MB movies.

If anyone takes the time to record a good battle, or something else of interest in Ballerium, don't hesitate to send it my way. I'll do my best to get it up on the movie page for all to view.

August 26, 2007 I've come home from work to find version 53.90 up on the servers. Now's a good opportunity for all the new players to get a fresh start at conquering the world. Only the patch is available at this time. Head over to the downloads to grab it and get into the game!

August 15, 2007 I've added a couple of Flash movies to the Ballerium Sanctuary homepage. Use the playlist in the window below to select between them. As time permits, I'll add more movies to the list. I hope they play well for everyone. Once I get a small collection of movies, I'll update the main movie page to include some higher resolution versions that you can download.

July 1, 2007 Version 52.89 is here. The server crash bug involving long messages on the admin chat channel has been fixed. Hopefully we've found all the bugs that crash the server and can look forward to a nice long round. Plenty of time to really get the wars into full swing.

June 19, 2007 Seems like the website has had a few problems these past couple of days. What happened was my webhost has upgraded the server which caused all types of problems. Mainly because I wasn't informed until after it began. The bad timing of it being, I was updating the site right about then, which caused most of the updates to get lost because they moved backup copies of the files (old ones) to the updated server. Hopefully everything is squared away now. If you notice anything out of the ordinary, please let me know.

Now, onto what was added, I've updated the Guide to include the City Hall building. I'm going to try and add the rest of the buildings in the next week or so.

June 13, 2007 I've uploaded the four caravan units to the units page. I have the rest of the gifs made for the remaining mechanicals, just have to get the code added to the page. Hopefully they'll be up soon.

I got most of the rest of the units on the page now. Only three are left to add; the Kablaz, the Watch Tower, and the Outpost.

June 12, 2007 I've added the Ealthai and Groguan races to the units page. Next will be all the units purchased at the Workshop. Too bad making those gifs takes so long, otherwise I'd have them all up in one day.

June 11, 2007 Yesterday while playing v51, I was able to gather some content within the game for this website. Today I updated the resource section of the Guide with some pictures and descriptions of rare resources. Since I've capped 4 cities so far, and need to mine a lot to upgrade them, I might have some time to get more unit descriptions on the website next, while I watch my doloms dig furiously.

June 10, 2007 Version 51 has gone live. So far, it looks like the past two rounds of client crashes have been fixed. We might be able to have a good long round this version. So, get your clans formed and begin planning your conquest of Ballerium.

Go get the game patched up and start building your empire. I want to hear about some awesome city seiges this round.

March 27, 2007 The new BSanc is coming together nicely. I hope you find it pleasing to look at and more informative than ever.

So far, everything seems to work extremely well in Firefox, but I'm still having some troubles with IE. Hopefully I'll get those worked out soon. If any pages don't display correctly for you, please drop me an email and let me know what browser and version you are using. BSanc should work fine with lastest version of Firefox, since that fully supports all features. IE7 displays about 95% of the content correctly. I'll have to figure out some workarounds for that last 5%. Older browsers don't give you the best look of the website. I strongly suggest upgrading to Firefox, you won't be disappointed.

I think I have all the content from the old BSanc ported over to this new website, with a few additions already thrown in. I have grand plans to add in more and more content. Just be patient while I work on it, it's very time consuming. And, with spring arriving here, I'm gonna have to set aside some time to play outside with the Dogs.

Join Ballerium Before you can play Ballerium, you must first register on the Ballerium website. You can do that while you wait for the game to download.

New Install It's very important to install the game up to its current version. The first thing you should do is download the most recent full installation file. After that, download all patches, in order, up to the most recent patch.

As an example, you might have to download 3 files, v45 full install, v46 patch, v47 patch. Many problems new players experience immediately following a game install, is that they aren't running a current version of the game or a properly patched one.

Now that you have all the proper files, execute the full installation file and follow the setup directions to copy the game to your computer. If you had to download any patches to get current with running version, execute these in numerical order. You should now be able to use the desktop shortcut to start the game.

Patching the Game To patch an already installed version of Ballerium, all you need to do is download all patches from your installed version to the currently running version of the game.

As an example, if you have installed version 45 on your machine, but the server is running version 47, you would download the v46 patch and the v47 patch.

Execute these files in numerical order and you should be all patched up.
